The Belgian private equity firm Straco has acquired Welten Groep from One Two Capital on 30 December 2022. This marks the next step in Welten Groep's growth strategy, which is focused on expanding to adjacent and European markets.
Chris Baelemans, Welten Groep's CEO: "We intend to expand our winning model for education and employment in the financial services industry to adjacent markets." He emphasized the company's goal of matching finance professionals to organizations across banking, insurance, pension institutions, and the public sector while pursuing international growth.
Maarten Peers, Managing Partner of Straco, noted that the acquisition represents Straco's second major transaction in the Netherlands in 2022, and expressed support for management's expansion ambitions, including plans to enhance digital capabilities and broaden service offerings.
Welten Groep operates staffing divisions under the Welten, Bold People, and Carrierecafe brands, alongside the Dukers & Baelemans financial training institute. The transaction remains subject to relevant competition authority approval.
